Want to be in a Student Film?
The student organization Active Minds SJSU is planning to do recording for their submission to the film contest Directing Change, which they are participating in through Each Mind Matters. The mission of Directing Change is "to promote mental health and prevent suicide by educating young people about the warning signs for suicide, mental health, how to help a friend through a film contest, and changing conversations about these topics in schools and communities through education, trainings and film viewings."
Active Minds SJSU will be submitting an entry for "Mental Health Matters: Through the Lens of Culture." This will require a 60 second video that captures this message. For their filming, Active Minds SJSU will ask students of diverse cultures why mental health matters to them.
If you want to be a part of this film, drop by Clark Hall Room 100H between 5:30-6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28th. All students are welcome!
